The small and peaceful town of Killingworth (7,000 people) is located just inland from Madison and Clinton in Connecticut. It is a bucolic town with many horse farms and weekend homes for people from New York City. It has many country lanes that are ideal for bicyclists. Many are narrow enough that the forest canopy above provides shade on the hottest days.

New Haven Regional Airport is 25 miles away, Hartfort International is about 45 miles away. Amtrak and the Shoreline East has stops along the shoreline towns just a few miles away, with trains to New Haven, Boston and NYC.  Killingworth is rural and not a walkable community.
