What Is Special about East Lansing
East Lansing is made up of many neighborhoods, parks and a walkable downtown with shops and restaurants. It also sponsors many community events each year and is bike-friendly. The Northern Tier Trail is a paved pathway that connects the many community parks; the Hannah Community center features the Albert A. White Performing Arts Theatre; there is an aquatic center, library, and art galleries. Not to mention all that MSU offers culturally and the many sporting events on campus.
What Is Not Special about East Lansing
East Lansing is not just a college town, the college is the town. There are approximately 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students living in the area, so you would have to enjoy the college vibe and being in the mix. The winter weather is dreary with many cloudy days.
