What Is Special about Milton
The small quaint town provides ample opportunities to enjoy the outdoor as it boasts parks, fishing areas, and boat launches. Nearby is the Nature Conservancy with nature trails, along with The Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge that offers birdwatching and photography, fishing, hunting, and hiking. Delaware's largest state forest, Redden State Forest, is also located nearby with approximately 45 miles of trails. The beautiful beaches of Lewes are just minutes away.

Although the downtown is walkable, the community itself is not considered to be walkable. The nearest large city (Baltimore) is about 80 miles away. Milton may not stay a small town for long. It is growing at a fast rate with an 81.8% increase since 2000, which is reflected in new schools being built or enlarged, and a surge in new home construction.
