What Muir Commons is like

Muir Commons, established in 1991, was the first cohousing community in the United States modeled after those in Denmark. Made up of 26 single family homes facing a central pedestrian pathway, the community features a garden, an orchard, and a Common House where shared meals and community events are held along with an exercise room, office, laundry and guest rooms. Other shared facilities include a 900 square foot woodworking and automotive shop.
