North Manchester is the home of Manchester College, a small, liberal arts campus (1,000 students) with many events that residents attend. There are also many opportunities to volunteer on campus, at the library, and in the community. North Manchester had just under 6,000 residents in 2008, rendering it a small, classic college town. The town is located in north-central Indiana.

What Is Special about North Manchester

North Manchester, named "Small Town USA" by ABC's Good Morning America. Martin Luther King gave the last speech he would give on a college campus at Manchester College here.  The town is an exceptionally low cost place to retire. Crime is low.
