Cohousing is an intentional community of private homes clustered around shared spaces. At Village Hearth Cohousing in Durham, NC, we are also distinguished as the first 55+ LGBTQ-focused cohousing community in the U.S. We live together, manage our own affairs, dwell in single level homes that are wheelchair accessible with a caring group of people to share the fun. Our Common House has a well-equipped gourmet kitchen, a dining room for group meals, a fully equipped exercise room, laundry, craft room, guest suite and more. All are welcome, with a special invitation to the LGBTQ community.
