It is located just to the north of Fort Lauderdale and immediately below affluent Boca Raton.

What is not special here are the crowds in season, over development which is always a risk, and there is the hurricane season.
Climate and Physical Environment
Deerfield is on the southeast coast of Florida, about 20 miles north of Miami. It is flat with the Atlantic Ocean on the East with business and real estate development to the west.
Restaurants & Cultural Scene
Deerfield itself does not have many cultural resources. However, nearby Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Miami have much to offer culturally just a short drive away.

Crime in Deerfield Beach is just below the national average.
Medical Facilities
North Broward Medical Center is just a few a miles in Deerfield Beach, as is Boca Raton's Community Hospital.
Transportation
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is just 17 miles away. Several railroads pass through Deerfield, which is blessed with Amtrak passenger service. Tri-Rail provides commuter service from Palm Beach County, through Broward County/Deerfield, and into Miami-Dade County.
