Westlake on Lake Erie is an upscale surburban community west of Cleveland. From here one can go to the beach, enjoy fishing, or cruise the great lakes.The population is about 31,000.  Crocker Park is a lifestyle center located on Crocker Road. It is an outdoor mall with areas for recreation and socializing. The park is based on a small French town-type setting. Where to Retire in Westlake and Home Prices

There is at least one active adult community in the area (see link at top left). Average home prices have seesawed, and in late 2022, Zillow reported the median home value to be $372,546. Crocker Park is a popular mixed-use community with shops, restaurants, lofts, townhouses and apartments.

What Is Special about Westlake

Westlake is an affluent community in northern Ohio, close to the lake for recreation.  Westlake hosted the 2006 USA Broomball National Championship. Crime is almost non-existent.
