Livingston is a small town of about 6,000 people near Lake Livingston in east Texas. This lake, the 2nd largest within Texas, has a 450 mile shoreline as well as Lake Livingston State Park. All water sports are available on the lake. The town is 37 miles east of Huntsville and 70 north of Houston. The Sam Houston National Forest is a nearby attraction. Onalaska and Coldspring are two nearby towns.
