Or you can live farther out from the mountain and the bustle of this busy resort town. There are active adult communities in the area. Many homes are 2nd homes, and Zillow reports the median home value was $1,099,016 in early 2023, which is up about 10% from a year earlier.

Climate and Physical Environment
Steamboat is just west of the Continental Divide in North central Colorado, west of Fort Collins and the Routt National Forest. The median January temperature is in the teens; the median July temp is in the low 60's.

Steamboat Springs is above average in walkability when compared to other communities.
